This seems like something you guys would be interested in, so why not. I was digging through some drawers, and I found these old pictures that my dad gave to me of his '73 Lemans.
If I recall correctly, he bought this car in either 1984 or 1985. Either way, he found the car in a parking lot, talked to the owner, and ended up buying the car. It was a Southern car, so the body was PERFECT. Seriously, look how mint the body looks in the pictures. And he says that the pictures don't even do it justice! The car was a 400/Auto car. I know that it was not original when he bought it. He ended up doing a decent amount of stuff to it, such as a new cam, intake, carb, etc.
These pictures were when he had it painted. He originally was going to paint it a bluish-green, but ended up painting it black. I personally think it looks amazing in black.
He did up putting headers and dual exhaust on it, but these pictures show it with the original single exhaust.
He always said that, if he could find this car again, he would buy it in an instant, no matter what the cost.
Only issue the interior had was the small tear on the drivers seat that you can see in the photo.
Yep, that's a Playboy air freshener. Keeping it classy.
Sorry for the poor picture quality. I had to take pictures of the old pictures.

That is a sweet ride right there. I love the looks of the 73-74 A bodies.
One day I'll find some pics of my 73 Laguna.

I wish I could find the rest of mine. I was glad to get this, but I know I have more somewhere.

They are damn good looking, for sure. I love them. Wish I had more pictures, but that's all I could find.
I'm massively jealous. Those Lagunas are virtually extinct these days. I would love to see it!

Yeah, I was glad to find these. I'm sure I have more, but I just can't find them.
And, hey, you got one of your dad's cars in the garage! At least you get to see it and tinker with it!

That's sweet:D There will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Colonnade A-Bodies.

"Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end..." And they did. Nice car. Sure your dad loved it. Malaise was in its infancy in '73. To any gearhead of that era, it was a poor substitute for what had just passed. You did what you had to do, though. It took a seemingly eternity for the aftermarket to get up to speed.

Oh, he loved it to death. Out of all the cars that he's owned (T/As, Novas, 'Vettes, etc.), he wants this one back the most. It was Malaise, though. He always told me it was never really all that quick. And this was after headers, a new cam, a new intake, and other mods. He said it was a great car, though.
